Principle Investigator

Matthew Levi

Dr. Levi is an Associate Professor of Soil Science in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on the nexus of soil, vegetation and water at the landscape scale.

He is interested in linking spatiotemporal patterns to processes and discerning responses to anthropogenic and global changes for improved natural resource planning and sustainable land management. By advancing landscape-scale models for predictions of soil and vegetation and ecosystem function, the aim is to develop a robust toolset for scientists, land managers, and decision makers to apply to challenges in managing our vital soil resource and mitigating problems associated with global changes.
